Description

PLEASE READ: CAR NOT IN LONDON YET, MAY BE AVAILABLE EITHER END OF JUNE 2026 or a bit later. I am a private seller. Our family is visiting Douglas, Isle of Man and needed a car for a couple of months. I was looking for a reliable Toyota. Spent many days looking for the best value for money and quality. Found this Toyota and got it immediately. PROS: 1) Full annual Toyota Service History (see pictures with stamps). Last service at 93k in June 2025 spark plugs replaced, oil, oil filter, cabin filter - all done. 2) 4 brand new tyres (under 500 miles on them); 3) MOT till January 2027; 4) a reliable workhorse, cheaper than older competition. 5) all previous MOTs without any serious issues, nothing major (see screenshot dating back to 2020); 6) Spare wheel; 7) ULEZ compliant; 8) MOT till Jan 2027. CONS: 1) It is "tired" on the outside, the previous owner, an elderly gentleman, owned it since 2017. The car was scratched up so the dealer touched it up, painted over the scratches and made it look nicer. Nothing serious, just cosmetic; 2) the wheels are 7 out of 10 at best, which needs a bit of TLC 3) car pulls slightly left during driving, which is normal for most cars (1%+). The bolts that allow adjustment have seized and require a blow torch to be removed. It doesn't affect my driving but just being transparent here. For me it's more important that the car is mechanically sound rather than being all pretty on the outside but with plenty of hidden issues with the engine and not even basic service done by owners (I have run checks on many cars here and they all come back with issues). So I looked at the service history, looked at the fact that these cars go over 200k+ miles and decided that this is THE car for our travels in the UK. When looking for a car I was choosing between the Avensis, Auris, Honda CRV, Mazda Skyactiv G, Mercedes E-Class, Rav4, Qashqai, Skoda Octavia/Superb. Considering all the factors, this car is the best option for a large family with luggage, reliability of Toyota (200k+ miles with regular, simple service). I repeat, if you are looking for a Toyota quality and are happy to ignore the "tired" look (and save a grand in the process), then this is the car for you. If you want a flashy car, then you should probably not look at Avensises :)) Listing the car now so to gauge interest, but our plans are dependent on certain circumstances beyond our control. NOTE: You will need to tax and insure the car before driving on public roads.
