Description
Just passed my probation at work which means a new company car is inbound and should be arriving in the next week. I've only had it for about 4 months as I just needed a stop gap that would get my out of my Cayman (baby arrived early!) and get me through until the new boring company car arrives. I'd previously owned and loved an E92 320d and always wanted an E91 335i LCI. Everyone claims that their car is rare so I'll skip that bit but there really aren't many LCI's around - especially with the flush roof rails that I much prefer and xenon lights.
It's a fairly "grown up" spec, silver paint, chrome trim, brushed aluminium inside, black leather, single hump, auto gearbox, xenon lights, Bluetooth etc. Completely unmodified except for a metal charge pipe as the plastic one gave up on the previous owner. Speaking of the previous owner, he didn't have it that long either as his Dad stopped driving and gave him his Jag which was much more economical to run for his longer commute. I was concerned at his short ownership and got it inspected by BM Centre who gave it a clean bill of health, you're welcome to call them to discuss!
The car has full service history and enough paperwork to fill the library at the Vatican, all the common jobs have been done. I can get specifics if you're interested. I personally just had a major service done including spark plugs at BM Centre last month. Car now reads 133,000 miles and has four decent tyres on with plenty of tread.
Bad points to note; on the last service they suggested that it would do with a wheel balance and alignment but couldn't do it there. I've not had this done. There is a rattle from the dash, I had an old style Bluetooth system removed and I think the fitter must have broken a clip in the trim. The trim also has a drill hole from the old Bluetooth system, I'm sure you could easily replace the trim for very little money. The previous owner said there is a heat shield rattle but I've not noticed that. The front bumper, like most E9x's has seen some abuse, looks alright but if you get on the ground and look under it you can see it's pretty scraped up. Generally the paintwork is ok but there's a few stone chips as you'd expect with the age of the car.
Thanks for your interest.
