This is a rare collectors item. Between 1989-1990 only 750 cars were ever released by Mazda with a BBR tuning kit, this is one of the 130 remaining worldwide today. Quite a rare car indeed, and great fun to drive. It has had pretty much everything serviced imaginable recently. Of the remaining 130, only a few of those also came from Mazda with an optional extra Limited Slip Differential, this is one of them - making it even rarer. I recently took her to my specialist classic and performance car garage, who said they had only had one other original come in during the past few years, and it wasn't in anywhere near as good nick underneath and didn't have a proper diff. The BBR kit includes a Garrett GT25 Turbo, Intercooler Upgrades, Exhaust work, and other bits and bobs, bringing the car up to around 152bhp, really fun to drive. The only non-BBR Original modification to the car is a Silenced Race Beat exhaust, which is not loud at all and perfect for daily, it just brings out turbo noises a little more. This car has been babied its entire life, and spent the last decade garaged. I bought it, did all the below servicing, took it on a road trip around Ireland, and and hoping for a small profit for my work. It has never had a single mechanical advisory in its life. There have been 6 advisories since 1989, 4 of which were tyres, the other 2 were professionally fixed to a standard as if they were never there. It looks fantastic for the age. The soft top exterior has been professionally refurbished, interior of soft top is average. The car has been undersealed its entire life, and has no rust issues at all as such at all. There was a very small bubble on the sill but that was immediately removed (and the surrounding area) from the metal, treated and resprayed as if it was never there. The car has been treated as if money is no object and built to last for a long time. It has recently had the following services to get her ready for the road again: - All new spark plugs - All new coils - Engine oil flush and change - LSD Oil flush and change - Transmission Fluid flush and change - New Discs, Pads and Brake Fluid. - Fuel Pump cleaning - Fuel Filter replacement - New Drop Links - New aux/fan belt -New battery - Much more Gearbox, Clutch and everything else is fantastic. Ready to enjoy. Interior has Black leather aftermarket seats, and is in fabulous condition too.
