Description
There was a full video article was done by JayEmm on this exact car back in November 2022 -
Engine: 4,799cc, V8
Power (hp): 367@6,300rpm - this is the standard spec. The exhaust will have improved this.
Torque (lb ft): 361@3,400rpm
MPG: will do an achievable 30-35mpg on motorway driving
Mileage: 55,697 miles
"The standard 550i has 130 hp less than a V10 M5, but only 23lb ft less on torque, making it far more suited to a Touring." This has a full stainless sports exhaust, so the power and torque figures will be even better.
It also has the ZF conventional automatic gearbox, far more reliable, smoother and easier to drive than the SMG (the only automatic offering on the M5).
Exhaust: Stainless Energy Motorsport tuned system.
Exterior: Full Energy Motorsport body kit (front bumper including carbon running lights, rear bumper and side skirts - these are very well made - not your usual cheap/flimsy/heavy parts.
Wheels: 19" Energy Motorsport rims - Toyo Proxes Sport 275/30 ZR19. The fronts have done less than 1000 miles (approx. 10mm tread) and the rears have over 8mm,.
Suspension: The rear suspension has been swapped from airbags (standard on the estates), to coil springs which dramatically improves the rear end handling and ride.
Windows: have a UK legal tint - these are the BMW factory glass tints, not the stick on version. All side windows also have the smoked BMW wind deflectors. (personal taste, but they look good on this one and don't make any wind noise).
Interior: Full black leather. M5 steering wheel inc. paddle shift. Full electric drivers seat including automatic side bolsters, steering column, electric headrest, etc. Both sets of keys included. Full length sunroof with electric blind.
Exterior: The paint and bodywork are immaculate. A couple of very small stone chips (1mm square) on one of the side skirts and the front bumper, but minor.
FULL SERVICE HISTORY - serviced by BMW specialists in the North East.
The car was previously owned and driven by an 81-year-old gentleman who loved and cared for it, no expense spared.
Things to do:
The SatNav and radio are still the Japanese spec, so the SatNav needs a UK map DVD installing. The radio will need the unit changing to a UK spec one in the boot.
That's it!
