Description

Ideally I would like to sell this car to another Audi MK1 TT 240 QS enthusiast who wants to enjoy owning it and take care making it the best version it can be (I used to own one in 2009/10 and kept up-to-date with those available). I went on 6-month garden leave from work in May 25 so the ideal opportunity to own one again with time on my hands. I spent a month searching and found this 59k mileage version, with no engine or external modifications, i.e. the original version. However, it needed some TLC and I have spent 2k over the summer. After enjoying it, including a brilliant faultless trip to San Sebastian, I am now back in work and have bought a BMW 545e and so it is time I parted company with it sadly. It is currently cleaned inside and out and covered on my drive, but will naturally keep it ticking over. Although autotrader suggests I am the 6th owner, the previous one was the dealer I bought it off. They were selling for the son of the previous owner, an old chap who had the car for over 10 years until his death, but it had done only 1000 miles from 2015-2016 and garaged throughout. The dealer put it through its MOT and was serviced - had new front discs and pads. I've since changed all the ignition coils, sourced an original parcel shelf, installed a new Kenwood Bluetooth stereo (I have the original Audi stereo), and wired a Quadlock docking station. Externally, its had two new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres (on the rear), any scratches to the blue bodywork touched up, the whole of the rear bumper professionally re-sprayed as this was scuffed, exhaust tips re-sprayed, all alloys professionally refurbished and not a mark on them, also sourced an original 'TT' badge with red outline for the rear bumper as the original was faded. Externally it is in very good condition vs any Mk1's I have seen. The photos prove that. There are however a few scratches on the roof from the previous owner and this is the only cosmetic work that needs doing in my opinion, but I'd rather the new owner take care of this. It really is a lovely car, but I need to sell and happy to receive sensible offers from someone seriously keen to enjoy the car. Thanks Mark
