1998 TVR Chimera 400 in Starmist Blue with Magnolia/Navy Interior Enthusiast owned (TVRCC member), well-loved and well maintained, and only a change in personal circumstances forces sale 6 owners including me, with the previous owner having had it for 17 years Last MOT April 2025 - passed with no advisories TVR specialist maintained (at TVR101 since 2019) Comprehensive servicing records along with original leather-bound owner's handbook containing the full stamped service history Driven respectfully (warm up and warm down, run on Vpower, not used excessively in wet, kept in covered car port and on trickle charge). A copy of the Steve Heath 'bible' included. Drives wonderfully, PAS, smooth idle, smooth gearbox, hot start kit, fans kick in as they should and has never let me down on the road. The car has a sleeved exhaust which allows the V8 to sound as it should, but this can be readily returned to stock for around GBP200. Low cost insurance and tax, surprisingly fuel efficient (well, relatively :)) Maintenance during my ownership (with supporting documentation) - Front suspension top arms and bushes, master and slave clutch cylinders, new fuel pump, new battery, chassis inspection (no current issues) - treatment and protection. Previous work of note (with supporting documentation) - Outriggers replaced, new hood and targa top re-trimmed, new rear windscreen, new radiator, new steering rack, fuel hoses, brake hoses, anti-roll drop links, hot start kit. Much more beyond that as documented in the servicing records. Some minor issues as expected on a 28-year-old car - some stone chips and 3 cm scratch on passenger side rear arch. Lower section of walnut dash around the radio is cracked. Drivers' door speaker does not work (likely a loose connection). Mileage will increase marginally as still in use.
