It has remained in daily use and has an MOT until December 2026, but has started to show signs of bore scoring, which will now require a full engine rebuild. Our engine rebuild specification include 6 ductile iron liners, forged pistons, 2 timing chains, IMS chain, big end bearings, main bearings, thrust washers, cylinder head rebuild with new valve stem oil seals and replacement of all engine stretch bolts. This example specification starts from 12K. Following a full workshop inspection, we have identified the following other items that would require replacing. Both metal over engine coolant pipes with rubber connecting hoses, both rear brake pipes, front to rear brake pipes, tandem pump with pipe, 3 piece clutch kit, dual mass flywheel, oil pump and replacement internal door card membranes.
