Description
Reluctantly putting my Shadow Blue MK5 R32 up for sale due to a change in commute. I've owned and cared for this car properly, and I'm hoping it goes to someone who appreciates these rare, characterful V6 machines as much as I have.
The Car - Honest Notes First
I prefer full transparency, so here are the small imperfections typical of an R32 of this age:
The headlining has begun to shrink around the interior light (common MK5 issue).
Very light bubbling on the arches minimal and only noticeable if you're actively looking for it.
A parking light warning has been on the dash since I bought it, though all lights function perfectly.
The cloth on the back of the bucket seats can occasionally unhook slightly, only visible from the rear.
Like many performance cars, it prefers being driven regularly rather than sitting for long periods.
None of these affect the way the car drives it's solid, tight, and exactly what an R32 should feel like.
Recent Maintenance & Upgrades
This R32 has been properly maintained with:
New battery and alternator fitted in December
Two new front tyres
Recent service
Full service history, with only two services outside VW
Apple CarPlay touchscreen fitted by the previous owner
Forge induction kit giving that lovely VR6 tone a bit more presence
MOT until May 2026 with a clean sheet
MOT history overall is extremely clean
Rare & Desirable Features-
Factory cloth bucket seats incredibly rare and increasingly sought after
Comes with a huge folder of paperwork, including almost every receipt and document from new
Includes the original sales brochure, a brilliant touch that shows how well-loved this car has been from day one
Overall
A genuinely well looked after MK5 R32 in the best colour, low mileage, and with the rare bucket seats. It's been maintained properly, drives beautifully, and is ready for someone who wants a clean, honest example of a fast approaching modern classic.
