Description
A beautifully presented 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera S (997.1) finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a 6-speed manual gearbox and Aerokit-style bodywork that gives a subtle GT3 look.
It's powered by the later M97.01 3.8-litre flat-six with the larger IMS bearing design, and has covered 84,500 miles with a fresh 12-month MOT (no advisories, October 2025). It has been well-maintained throughout its life, supported by comprehensive Porsche main-dealer and specialist history.

Mechanical & Service History
- 2016 - 61,475 miles (Autostrasse, Porsche specialist): new clutch fitted along with RMS and IMS flange seals while the gearbox was out (invoice on file).
- Later-spec M97.01 engine with the larger IMS bearing - not the early small-bearing design used on late 996s.
- 2018 - 73k miles (Porsche inspection): bore-scope inspection and over-rev check carried out; strong, even compression readings (approx. 5-10% loss @ 17.5-18.7 bar).
- 2022 - 82k miles (major service): all six coil packs and spark plugs replaced, full fluid service.
- Recent MOT: brake pipe replaced with remaining lines inspected and in good condition.
- Comprehensive service history with Porsche main dealers and respected specialists.
- Selling as I simply don't have the time to enjoy it properly with work and family commitments.
Condition
The car presents very well and always attracts positive attention.
As an honest 20-year-old 997, there are a few light age-related marks - minor stone chipping on the front and a few tiny dings on the right-rear quarter - but nothing that detracts from its overall appearance (see images).
Wheels show a little lacquer lift typical of diamond-cut finishes.
Interior condition is excellent
