Description
This is a unique opportunity to own an incredibly low mileage classic Lotus Esprit V8 twin turbo supercar.
Finished in the best colour combination of metallic blue with Magnolia interior which still smells brand new. This is a factory one off car featuring a specially commissioned electric blue Alcantara headlining trim. No sun has got to the leather.
The car is totally original with unmarked interior. It has always been garaged under a tailor made cotton dust cover. The underneath of the car shows original components in as close condition as to when it left the factory.
Blisteringly quick with 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds and then on to 175mph (this particular example has never been tested in those terms).
Being a 1999 model its the sweet-spot period for these last of the line Esprits. It has the small dashboard which is far less kit car like than the big 1970s version but it has the factory MOMO steering wheels (not the ugly airbag version) so it also has the glovebox.
First registered on 25th October 1999 the Lotus was a retirement treat by the first owner to himself. Original invoice and paperwork over 50,000 new. The owner sadly died in 2013 and the car was transferred into his widows name and she stored it for a couple of years. Eventually, in 2015, she sold the car to an administrator of the Lotus Owners Club, Every accessory and part that came from the factory is still present, including the original Lotus toolkit (fully complete and unused). I purchased the car in 2018 as one of my all time favourites.
Absolutely everything works as it should and the car looks and drives like new. The gears change perfectly and there no issues commonly associated with Esprits.
It had a full service including change in cambelt 1,000 miles ago.
Brand new tyres just fitted (these are hard to get hold of)
Near concourse condition
The car has all receipts of parts/servicing from day one and a stamped service booklet.
Installed a remote reversing camera to aid reversing. Can easily be removed.
