Description
Reluctantly selling my much-loved 2006 Hyundai Coupe SE. It was my first car and I had planned to keep it forever, but I now need something I can use straight away, so it's up for sale.
Current Condition:
Engine not running, so it will need a replacement engine (G4GC). The car turns on but won't turn over, so it will need to be towed/trailered.
Other minor issues:
Was told by mechanic timing belt has snapped so it would need a new one.
Driver's side door needs cosmetic repair (as seen in pictures).
Minor electrical fault radio and central locking not working since the old battery drained. A new battery has been fitted, so it could just need a reset or fuse.
Both doors lock manually, however driver side door doesn't open from outside when locked so has to be manually unlocked from the inside - it was fine up until the battery drained and the central locking stopped alongside some minor electrics inside so could be a case of simply resetting.
Minor cosmetic blemishes/age-related wear and tear.
Please also see most recent MOT advisories for corrosion.
Recent Work / Good Points:
New battery, tyres, brake pads & discs all round fitted at 56,000 miles.
Serviced at 56,000 miles.
MOT until March 2026.
Sunroof fully functional.
Rear parking sensors.
Frameless doors.
Leather seats.
Bluetooth connectivity.
Front and rear fog lights.
All exterior lights working.
Spare wheel + tools included.
Loads of paperwork including service history, main dealer stamps, and MOT certificates.
2 Keys (both with fobs).
Only 2 previous owners (excl. me).
Timing belt previously changed by Hyundai main dealer at 42k miles (not that it's relevant anymore since it's potentially snapped).
Very cheap to insure and good on fuel for what it is.
ULEZ Compliant.
About the Car:
Black, Automatic, 3-door coupe
Leather seats, sporty look, real head-turner
Rare to find, especially at under 60,000 miles, automatic and black
With a replacement engine and some minor fixes, this will be a fantastic car again
Value & Potential:
I've seen some cheap engines on eBay, so if you can fit one yourself (or know someone who can), you could have a running car for very little. Once fully sorted, these low-mileage examples (especially considering the colour and transmission) go for around 3,000.
Sale Info:
Priced cheaply and fairly given the condition and to avoid unnecessary negotiation.
Collection only - will need to be towed/trailered
Any questions, please feel free to ask!
