Description
Currently being sold as spares or repairs due to a failing high pressure fuel pump. Was wanting to repair myself but bought a new car instead.
The Condition
Mechanical: The car is currently in limp mode. I have had this diagnosed, and it requires a new High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) quoted around 500-600.
Driveability: Despite being in limp mode, the car still starts, runs well, and is driveable. Once the pump is replaced, the limp mode will clear, restoring the car back to normal.
Maintenance done: During my ownership, I have had the following maintenance done:
New Alternator
New Rocker/Valve Cover
New Air Intake Pipes
New Brake Caliper
Timing Chain: Replaced by the previous owner (a major "must-have" for this model).
MOT: The vehicle is currently without a valid MOT.
