Description
This was my father in law's car for nearly all its life, having bought it as nearly new from Motorpoint. We took it on 18 months ago with the aim of us it as a spare run about, but we just don't.
A well equipped car, featuring Bluetooth phone connectivity, remote central locking with working two keys, isofix, driver and passenger airbags, power steering, USB connector, radio and CD player.
It runs perfectly, engine, gear box, brakes and suspension are all spot on. We have had two coil springs replaced, and one strut mounting. It had new rear discs and pads and a new CV boot at 53k miles. Invoices present. Tyres are all good, with a brand new spare. All the dials, instruments, lights, indicators, wipers work perfectly. There's no rust or dents, the bodywork is excellent, with just age related marks. The car has averaged just over 5k miles per year.
Couple of bits needed; I trapped the seat belt in the door and split the rubber seal, a new one is already on order. The front electric windows go down perfectly but most often they come back up in stages (they don't stick or fail). I understand there is a reset method but I have priced t with consideration to a new relay or something. We just lived with it.
A great little family car, but also ideal as a second car or even a first time car. Economical, cheap insurance and twenty pounds road tax.
The vehicle, and the documents, can all be viewed at my home address in Peterborough. Test drives are fine with appropriate insurance (that is you can drive another car on your own insurance). Any third party or professional inspection welcome.
