Description

My very rare, lovely Jag S-Type V8 SE. You see a few of the supercharged R versions, but hardly ever any of these normally-aspirated SEs - and most definitely not in this livery! Pretty much a one of a kind car. In metallic black with the black leather and contrast maple walnut. Such a fabulous V8. Sounds wonderful, pulls like a train but is calm and collected when you're just cruising along. She isn't as heavy as an XJ, only 1.7 tonnes, so she corners delightfully well. Good bits: Excellent condition interior Leather and wood is pristine No corrosion on the bodywork or underneath Sills (a corrosion issue on the S-Type) were replaced about a year ago by the previous owner Centre touch-screen console works perfectly It has the special edition 19-inch alloys, and good tyres on them Full service history - and has just been serviced Brand new hubs and wheel bearings Brand new shocks and springs front and rear Brand new rear brakes Brand new oxygen sensor Brand new tie rod ends Brand new inner rack arms and track rod ends 4-wheel laser alignment just been done Bad bits (which are why I'm putting this up for only 1995 instead of the 4495 or so this would normally go for): Needs a new knock sensor Needs the other oxygen sensor replacing Heater comes on at full heat - I have the correct part already, so it just needs an hour's labour to fit it Electronic handbrake motor needs replacing (couple of hundred quid for the part plus a couple of hours labour to swap it) Restricted performance alert is on (although it drives as normal) and she could do with a gearbox oil change, which is what's causing that. Bit of kerb scuffing on the alloys (not by me!) Tiny little dent by the nearside headlamp (see photo) Basically I was on a mission with this car to get her tip-top A1 perfect, and I've spent a good couple of thousand doing that; but I'm being told that I shouldn't spend any more. So here she is at a daft price for such a rare and beautiful V8 Jaguar, with all the truth told openly here. I'd say another 6 or 700 on these last bits that need doing and she'll be A1. Most importantly: other than needing a couple of new sensors, the engine is perfect. Just those other bits to do.
