In stunning Linarite blue with black leather interior, this 1998 Mercedes-Benz SLK was fitted with the (5,000GBP option) AMG Kit (front bumper, side skirts, dual exhaust and 17' alloy wheels) from new. I've had SLK's before but never in this condition. I challenge you to find anything other than a tiny thumbnail of bubbling on the bodywork. Given that it spent time in Spain, it is virtually rust free. The engine runs smoothly at temperature and there are no warning lights on the dash. The wheels are all in excellent condition and there is plenty of tread on all four tyres (I replaced both front tyres on 15/11/2025). As for servicing, the last one took place on 11/03/2025 and in July of 2022, a previous owner spent 2,296GBP on the vario roof etc. All the manuals are present together with two keys, although one of them is a bit ropey. There is a Sony head unit with the original instruction manual and remote. Everything works as it should and the only three things that I think are worth mentioning are 1 - there is a 4cm tear in the middle of the passenger seat 2 - the rear view mirror could do with adjusting/tightening and 3 - because Mercedes painted their interior trim in a charcoal colour, there are areas where this has rubbed off over the past 27 years to reveal the black trim underneath. Overall, this is a really beautiful example of, what I believe, is the simplest and most uncluttered shape.
