Description

1992 Audi 80 2. 0 E Automatic - 6 Owners - 1 key - Tornado Red (non metallic) - Original service book, and various manuals included - MOT until 22nd May 2026 with only 1 advisory - Car was put in dry storage around 2011 and recommissioned in May 2023 hence a big gap in the MOT history. In my ownership the car has had 4 new Uni Royal Rain Tyres, new radiator/thermostat, ignition coil, cam belt/aux belt change, spark plugs, some sections of the fuel line replaced, new discs/pads and calliper service, automatic gearbox service and various bits of the front suspension replaced. Most work undertaken at a VW/ Audi specialist. - Mostly original paint. Front wheel arches and bonnet have been resprayed in the past. They have just started fading a little bit. No lacquer peel anywhere. There are a few small chips and scrapes to be expected with age but it is in pretty good shape overall. A few bubbles under paint in a couple of places but not much in the way of rust, both the body and frame were galvanised from the factory. - Original headliner is just starting to go in one back corner. Fabric on door cards has creased a bit due to the break down of the glue over time. - One of the wheel centre caps is missing. New/old stock ones are about 80 GBP. The wheels are not too bad. There are small amounts of corrosion and a few small dings but nothing too bad - The original exhaust looks slightly wonky at the back as a few of the hangers have rusted away however it has been secured by my garage. - It has the original Blaupunkt radio however it is not in the best of shape. Tape player has stopped working, it has lost a few screen pixels and although the radio function technically does work you can't actually use it at the moment as the aerial is not currently connected. Someone has previously messed around with the wiring in the boot and I haven't got round to sorting it. I use a Bluetooth cigarette lighter adapter to listen to music. - It generally runs quite well, only real issue is with the oil pressure sensor light and warning buzzer which is very temperamental. I have tried a few replacements but it still occasionally randomly comes on and goes off again. My garage has assured me the oil pressure is fine and there is not actually a problem with it. It is likely to be a wiring/electrical issue. - I have recently notice water pooling a bit in one of the rear footwells. Not sure where it is coming in. Much more info can be provided.
