Description
I'm selling my 2002 Mazda 626 GSI SE.
This car has covered 95k miles, of which I've covered 45k during my 5.5 years of ownership.
Comes with a full service history, a folder full of receipts and 2 keys. MOT is due 26th July 2026. These cars are incredibly reliable, please see the MoT history on gov.uk website.
The car is ULEZ compliant.
Specification includes, alloy wheels, x4 Michelin Cross Climate 2 tyres (6mm tread), Michelin spare wheel, jack and locking nut, 4x electric windows, rear parking sensors, electric sunroof, climate control, central locking, rear boot spoiler, heated wing mirrors, cruise control, ABS, airbags, traction control 6 CD multi changer and electronically adjusting door mirrors. Everything works.
2.0L petrol engine - Automatic gearbox
3 owners from new. 2nd owner was my parents, I'm the 3rd/ current owner.
This car has been incredibly reliable and has been serviced with quality parts. Water pump and timing belt was changed at around 65k and the alternator and power steering belt was changed around 80k. I had iridium spark plugs fitted a couple services ago which are still working perfectly. Exhaust was replaced around 93k. I had four new JVC speakers fitted a couple years ago.
You'll see from the pictures the interior is like a brand new car. Comes with the original Mazda 626 carpets and, rubber matts and original handbook. The car has been washed, clay barred and polished regularly. It's a 23 year old car, so it's not perfect but excellent for its age.
I have some spare Mazda coolant, Michelin wiper blades, H7 bulbs, air filter, pollen filter and a worn out old number plate (advisory to replace a while back) and fitted car seat covers which I'm happy to pass on.
This car doesn't have the original catalytic converter, it was stolen during COVID. I was advised at the time and OEM replacement would just get nicked again so I had a Cobra sports Cat fitted which has improved the mpg. The non OEM Cat causes an engine light which I just cancel/ clear ahead of its MoT using a OBD2 scanner. This doesn't impact the cars everyday use, hasn't been an issue in my 5.5 years of ownership. Declaring this to be honest and transparent.
Bit sad to see this car go, it's been a great car. Only selling as the wife needs a SUV for the kids.
Currently SORN but will be taxed for any test drives.
Hope it finds a new home soon and continues to provide reliable, dependable transport to someone else for many years to come.
