1991 MR2 3.0 V6 for sale.
Engine:
3 litre V6 from a Toyota Camry (3VZ-FE) with a competition clutch
Professionally installed and tuned around 2013
Suspension:
Fully adjustable coil overs all around
Fully adjustable camber top mounts
Strut braces front and rear
Brakes:
Big brake conversion front and rear
Wheels:
17" tsw wheels
Rev2+ subframe fitted - so there's the Rev1 caster adjustment at the front with the updated geometry at the rear.
Currently SORN but a working car with not much work needed for the MOT - details below.
An MR2 Owners Club member had the V6 conversion done. Since then, there's been one other owner and me. I didn't get any history with it, but I had it checked and it's been completely reliable. It's only been off the road because life got in the way. My plan was to have the work done then sell it but I've had to postpone it. So it's available priced as a light project for the time being.
It runs and drives well - the engine is responsive, smooth and strong throughout the rev range.
For MOT:
The driver's side front and rear inner sills need repairing.
Front brake discs
The left rear coilover has movement in it and might need servicing or replacing. I'll include a pair of used Tein SuperStreet Coilovers I bought in case the one fitted does need replacing. I can't guarantee their condition but they can be serviced if necessary.
To be aware of:
Blistering on driver's side arches.
A bit of bubbling above the windscreen.
It's at an age where the underneath needs monitoring.
There's a shimmy in the steering at around 65mph which may be wheel balancing.
Worth mentioning:
If it's not being used regularly, it can hunt on a cold start sometimes. It doesn't normally happen when it's driven every week.
The fuel gauge is pessimistic and will show empty before the tank is actually empty.
The rev counter occasionally has a mind of its own but sorts itself out fairly quickly.
Payment by bank transfer only.
I think that's it. Any questions, please ask.
