This is my R129 SL: smooth, solid, and a real joy to drive. It's passed all 19 of its MOTs, and everything on the car works exactly as it should. The colour is what Mercedes calls "Black Opal" (deep, dark blue in natural light). I've had a lot of fun with it, but my priorities have changed, and it's time to pass it on. Highlights: - Everything works - including the soft-top mechanism, electric mirrors, electric windows, wipers on the headlights, roll bar, alarm, air con, steering wheel adjustment - Upgraded steering wheel and gear knob - Upgraded cup holder (original storage compartment included - but it doesn't hold cups!) - Bluetooth + USB radio - Leather rear seats - Paintwork is great for its age - Hard top is spotless - Soft top in good condition (mechanism + fabric) - Front leather seats professionally restored by a specialist last year - Extremely clean throughout and well looked after - Includes full original Mercedes kit - tools, manuals, blanket, first aid kit, cleaning products even the original wallet - The underbody was painted last year to protect it from corrosion consistent with the age of the car The honest bits: - One key - Six previous owners, though I was told three (including the last) were from the same family - Service history is strong, though not absolutely yearly - some years it barely drove - Tiny dent on the top edge of the boot (see photo) Serious Enquiries Only This is a well-cared-for, properly working example of a rising classic priced accordingly.
