Engine The VHPD (Very High Performance Derivative) engine, costing £15,600 alone, transforms the car completely. Featuring mechanical tappets in place of hydraulic followers, larger intake and exhaust valves with a ported head, forged pistons, a nitro-carburised crankshaft and high-lift cams, it’s a truly race-bred unit. The upgrades didn’t stop there. Emerald Motorsport added their ECU with reprogrammed MEMS engine management, while the exhaust system was upgraded to a stepped stainless-steel manifold, de-cat pipes and a Super Sports rear box. To ensure sufficient airflow, a Viper high-flow induction kit was also fitted. The result is a sharper, more responsive and far more engaging engine that delivers real theatre.
