Vauxhall Astra Design ECOFLEX 1.6 CDTI. Was bought as a cheap runner which needed rear brake repairs and servicing for MOT. For MOT, I fitted new rear brake pads and calipers, whist also doing an oil and filter change (parts receipt present). I planned on using the Astra as a cheap runaround but have upgraded my main car so keeping my old car as the runaround now. The Astra has a full tank of premium diesel (I put it in all of my vehicles) which was a fortune in itself! The car starts on the button and is very economical. Being the estate, it's got lots of room inside, and is an all round nice comfy car. It's also well spec'd with cruise control, aircon and Bluetooth. Tyres are all decent (see photos) with plenty of tread. The gears are a bit notchy, but all select fine. It's a little smokey, but nothing to suggest a problem - just an aging diesel with increasing miles. The dash is also clear, with no warning lights displayed. In summary, It's no oil painting and it's got scuffs and scrapes around it, but it'll provide hassle free motoring for at least a year. It's a cheap runaround and wants for nothing.
