Description

1995 Rover Mini Cooper SPI - 8k Miles - Japanese Import - This has to be the rarest mini Ive ever owner.. everything works Everthing, even the seat belt warning light ! An exceptionally complete 1995 Rover Mini Cooper SPI, Japanese import, with just 8,000 miles A genuinely rare example that has never been exposed to UK road salt and is rust-free throughout. The car has been fully undersealed and dry stored throughout. Mechanically sorted, Key Points: 8,000 miles ( Now full disclosure we have estimated this UP from its recorded 1663km because that is ludicrously low, possibly this is recorded miles since import?.. maybe it was just a show piece in Tokyo. ? it has only done 2.1 miles this year. and probably only 200miles since 2024. Japanese import - rust-free shell Fully undersealed 1300 SPI engine, (original Clubman lowered-ratio gearbox Cross-pin differential Evolution 001 camshaft with competition followers Duplex timing chain & ported inlet passages (believed Japan-fitted) Adjustable Hi-Lo suspension Rear sprung coil-over dampers JBW 612 "Rallye Special" alloys Yokohama A539 tyres Big-bore stainless exhaust (likely period Japanese custom system) Full leather interior MiniSport Ultimate engine steady bars (top & bottom) Goodridge braided brake hoses HEL braided clutch line Fletcher silicone coolant hoses Adjustable oil pressure control Two sets of keys (yes unheard of, and all the locks match) 12 months MOT London based (Hackney Wick) This is not a restored car, but a genuinely preserved, ultra-low-mileage Mini with sensible, period-correct upgrades. Optional extra (by separate negotiation): Extremely rare Moto-Lita Racing "Team Mini" Monte Carlo commemorative steering wheel, I am not including this on the sale without a haggle ! engraved and signed by Tom Walkinshaw (four-figure collector value). Also, the fitted leather boot panniers, which were an early JDM specific aftermarket option are absolutely unobtainable (made from genuine unicorn hide) So the full plan was to ditch the Rover ECU and install the plug and play programmable ECU from specialist components. ttps:// Get it on a rolling road and eke out every last BHP as nature intended ! Unfortunately we have far to many technically demanding projects to attend to. Its a classic Mini !!! ,life is too short for boring cars ! Serious enquiries only
