I WILL NOT ANSWER UNLESS I HAVE TALKED TO YOU OVER EMAIL FIRST) I'm looking at selling our VW T5 2.5 Auto 2008 LWB Shuttle. It's done 218,713 miles. MOT until 21/07/26 Full leather seats. Electric front seats. Reverse camera. Parking sensors. Auto headlights. It's had a lot of previous work done to it before I owned it. Full engine rebuild (2019 or 50k miles ago) That includes: New cylinder head, diesel particulate filter, crankshaft/cam shaft sensors, injectors, engine mounts etc (6550) Driveshaft (2024) Turbo charger (2019) Tandem pump (2019) Lots of other things like wheel bearings, brake caliper, anti roll bar linkage, wheel speed sensors etc It's a great vehicle for the space but my wife doesn't really like driving it and we mainly use our other car for short trips so we don't really need it. It's got a fault where it sometimes takes a few cranks of the key to get going and also the engine sometimes cuts out when driving while slowing down. You then have to give it a few cranks of the key and it starts up and goes again every time. Not once has it ever failed to start due to those problems. It pulls fine and there's no abnormal lag or anything like that. (I've got 2 videos showing the engine running and revving the engine) It seems like it could be an injector issue. I've had a mechanic look at it and he connected his kit to it and said injector 3 is within normal levels but at the upper end, like it might be making up for something. So he thinks it's possibly an injector or injector seal. Someone else said it could be a pipe or a ring/seal has gone and that just needs replacing as it can be quite common. Either way, I'll price this up as if it was the injector and if it ends up being a cheaper fix then fair play. Other things to note, there's some smoke that comes out of the exhaust on start up and goes away as the engine warms up. This could be related to the weather or the injector, I'm not sure but it has no impact on how it drives. Just thought I'd mention it. The AC has run out of gas and I don't think it works. There's a few marks around the body work, few rust spots, some caused by split door seals I think. So replace the seals and it should sort the issue out. One of the blinds is missing from the middle door. Thanks
