Description

A beautifully solid and original S2, one of the last off the line! I purchased J231 CRS in February, 2020; from a very reputable specialist dealership based in Wimbourne, Dorset. I have added less than 5k miles in that time; with the car always being kept in a warm garage. Dolphin Grey, with a beautiful black half leather Porsche embroidered interior. Absolutely no rips, tears or dramatic wear to any of the seats. A very rare feature (which I've never seen in any other 944 is the genuine OE graphic equaliser. All switches, features inc electric windows, mirrors and sunroof work, even the digital clock has not faded! 140k miles with two folders full of history documents kept by former keepers, inc old road tax discs, which is nice to see. Space saver wheel + jack present; another very rare item is the Porsche branded tyre pump / compressor. This 944 S2 comes with 2 original Porsche keys, coupled to the original and period remote central locking alarm and immobiliser. It doesn't have one of those annoying plug wiggle type immobiliser devices; it works on the remote and with a 20s timer to start the engine. On the outside and mechanicals.. . recently spent 1200 on a new clutch and flywheel. The engine is very sweet, slightly lumpy on cold start up; although within a couple of miles, it all settles down and pulls strongly in all gears. Smooth, progressive and linear power! The car has recently fitted Toyo Proxes tyres fitted all round, improving grip and handling. Less than 1k miles covered on those. The car has all factory stickers present in both the engine bay; more importantly in the boot; suggesting that the car has never been damaged nor repaired from shunts. The car seals are the achilleas heel on these age of Porsche. Mine has some small 50p piece grot, but really nothing serious for a 35 yr old car. All in all, this is a genuine car, from an owner who has loved and cherished its ownership; always cleaned after every use. Never used in winter, only driven in the Spring and Summer months, hence the lower mileages covered in the past 5yrs. I'm only selling as I'm hoping to purchase another car. Private plate (944) worth circa 400 to remain on the car. I purchased J231 CRS (original plate), The car comes with a great provenance of history, these cars are appreciating in value and starting to be recognised as one of the best handling sports cars, with 50/50 transaxle weight distribution. Less than 450 left on UK roads!!
