Engine flooded with diesel. Yep, one of those.
Filled up and driven to the point it shut down, called out the fuel saver and got it drained but would not start.
Bought new spark plugs and cleaned and replaced every time it fired up, as they would foul up with diesel. Car has now been started and driven 10 miles but now only cranks and does not fire. It's either the fuel pump, injectors or residual diesel which wasn't properly drained that's still causing a stink.
Mot due 16th feb and will likely fail the emissions test if any diesel still present. It could also do with some fresh tires.
As it stands, it will need to be towed and I recommend a mechanic or enthusiast who knows their way around these give me a call for a candid and frank discussion.
At this point I just want to cut my losses and sell to someone who has time to make this a nice and profitable little project for themselves if they have the patience and know-how.
Quite a niche vehicle and has been a good family car but after the misfuel hap I'm afraid our relationship is over.
