Description

This ad is for a 2003 BMW E46 M3 in carbon schwarz metallic with a manual gearbox. I bought this M3 only a few months in November with a plan to fully restore it to an immaculate condition, however unfortunately due to change of circumstances at work, I'm now listing it for sale. It's 100% original, exactly how it left the factory, which was one of the main reasons why I bought this particular car, because I wanted a non-modified example. Throughout its life, it has primarily been with one family from 2006 to 2025 and there's a huge stack of invoices for over 40k, showcasing how meticulously this car has been looked after over the last 20 years, mostly by BMW Ocean Plymouth. The black leather interior is in pretty much spotless condition, the headliner is perfectly intact (no sunroof), the steering wheel still has the original M stitching, and I recently replaced the worn gear knob with a brand-new genuine BMW M3 gear knob. Most importantly, the bodywork is very clean - no rust on the front or rear arches, the boot lid is clean, the only downside are multiple stonechips on the bonnet and the front bumper, which are due to previous regular motorway use. The wheels are original 18" M style 67, finished in shadow chrome and fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres all around with 6mm tread. The full BMW toolkit is present in the boot, along with the inflation kit. With regards to the BIG 3 common issues with E46 M3 - there's an invoice from 2012 to show that rod bearing were done by BMR Performance at 98k miles. Then moving onto VANOS, I can see that the VANOS unit has torx screws on it, which would indicate that it's been done in the past, but there's no paperwork to show for it. The engine runs perfectly fine throughout the rev range with no hesitation, so I suspect this has been sorted. I had the vehicle inspected on a ramp and the boot floor is NOT cracked at the usual weak points. Having said that, the rear subframe has moderate corrosion, and I would advise to have it refurbished/replaced and also carry out the RACP reinforcement to prevent the floor from cracking in the future. During my ownership, I've only replaced the front brake discs + pads (Zimmermann), and also bought new front indicators and bonnet + boot struts, which will be included with the sale. Last serviced in November 2024 at 144966. Looking for a genuine buyer, no test drives without insurance, viewings preferably on weekends. Open to sensible offers, payment by bank transfer only. No p/x.
