Replacement Engine Welcome to the sale of my lovely Skoda Octavia Mk3 1.6 TDi. My father bought the car from Alex Laurie Skoda when it was a year old and used it for the past 10 years as an airport transfer taxi until his retirement in January. So 1 former keeper. Although the car has a very high mileage it's been very well looked after with a folder full of receipts and invoices for thousands spent on it over the years. In April 24 at a mileage of 285k it had a replacement engine fitted with a low mileage unit (67k) along with a timing belt kit and water pump, so has covered approximately 135k. A few months prior to this the gearbox was refurbished and a new clutch kit and flywheel was fitted having over 4k spent on it around this time. The car drives great, starts first time and is very economical and surprisingly quick for a 1.6. The bodywork is also in fantastic condition with no rust, it will obviously have the odd age related mark and ding in places but nothing that stands out, it really defies its age/mileage. Everything seems to work fine, all electrics etc, it has a DAB radio and Park pilot reverse system, also has 2 keys. Has just gone in for its first ever MOT were it passed without a single advisory! The tester commenting how good it was for its mileage. You'd be hard pushed to find a better Mk3 at this price range. The car is currently sorn so some proof of insurance will be needed for a test drive although there is a yard it can be driven around, please no silly offers.
