I will be careful what I say because I am definitely bias when it comes to this car. Bought this car 10 years ago and the buttery smooth ride and 6-speed gearbox quickly won me over to Audis. While I went abroad for 4 years it has been in my family, so it has changed ownership a few times on paper but actually only had 3 owners. At least for my 6 years of driving it, it has never let me down. High mechanical reliability. It never skips a beat. Very low miles for the age! The cheap price is due to the paint work on one side. As you can see in the photos, one summer my dad decided to be helpful and scour one side of the car. This affects the aestetics of the car. As far as I can tell the interior is still water tight, clean and in good condition. Alternator and battery are good but there is a power drain. So I usually disconnect the battery if I am leaving the car for more than a day. (As a bonus this makes your car hard to steal!). This only takes 10 seconds so I haven't fixed it yet. Now I am selling i might find the time to fix it, but I might bump the price up a bit after. The heater and ac still work. I think this is a good car for people who appreciate a car's mechanics, has a longish daily commute and values the smooth ride under the scoured paint. It looks a bit rough and ready but it is tough and ready. I have upgraded to a picture perfect 10,000gbp audi A4, but when i started this A3 up yesterday I was a bit jealous. I invite you to come and start her up yourself, see if you get the same impression. This seems a fair price to me. I understand aesthetics are important to most drivers. Open to offers!
