Description

This is my 2003 Mark 1 Toyota Avensis, up for sale. Reluctantly putting up for sale as this car has given me no problems and has been a joy to own. This is the first version (facelift model) Avensis Toyota made - this example would have been one of the last to leave the factory given it was manufactured in 2003. The car has had 4 owners. There is Toyota dealership history from the first owner and I have kept up to date and preventatively maintained the car as the last owner, so the car has part service history. THERE IS MINIMAL RUST AS CAN BE SEEN ON PHOTOS. This car has the bulletproof 1ZZ-FE 1.8 petrol engine, used in the Celica and MR-2 sports cars, as well as the (modern at the time) VVT-i technology, which makes the car still quite efficient - can easily get 30-40mpg on longer trips. The biggest plus points of this car is the practicality and comfort. The boot is massive and there is plenty of legroom and seat space for 5 people easily. The ride quality is good and I've gone on many long trips and had no issues afterwards. The car is running superb with no obvious faults. It's only given me an engine light once - just a sensor which I had replaced. IT IS ULEZ COMPLIANT and on its recent MOT's - passed with NO ADVISORIES. Reasoning for the higher price is the low mileage for its age and the amount of money I've spent on the car, here's a list of work I've/had done (over 1.5 years of ownership) -1 major service (all filters, fluids, OEM DENSO Spark Plugs) -2 oil services (OEM TOYOTA oil filter) -New BREMBO brake discs & pads for all 4 wheels, new brake lines and brake fluid (preventative maintenance) -New auxiliary belt & power steering fluid (preventative maintenance) -Replaced both pre-cat Oxygen Sensors (DENSO OEM) due to one failing. -New VARTA battery (preventative maintenance) -Replaced rubber steering wheel with OEM Leather Steering wheel. -Repaired passenger side water leak through window seal using silicon -New tailight bulbs (preventative maintenance) - Was meant to install front fog lights but never got round to doing it - I have the relay, indicator stalk needed (not the lights) to install. - Only used premium Shell V-Power fuel and Castrol 5W-30 Oil. All work was done either by me or the garage. If it was the garage, I always supplied the parts, and made sure they were OEM or OEM-spec ONLY. I have invoices for everything, the service book and owner's manual which I can show you in person. Any questions let me know.
