The Reason: Early in the car's life (approx. 12 years ago), Hyundai issued an official manufacturer recall (this is public knowledge, check the gov.uk recall check to verify) to replace the dashboard instrument cluster. This was carried out by the main dealer before my ownership. This can be verified by looking at the yearly MOT history of the car where you will see that one year the mileage drops from around 27k back to 1k or so. This is a known occurrence for this model year.
