1999 Honda Civic EK9 Type R (Rx final edition) 110,273 miles.
Brand new build and nearly full restoration with less than 1000 miles done. Full engine re-build, done with OEM seals, studs and gaskets.
Immaculate Shell, Underneath is exceptionally clean. Was undersealed upon its arrival to the UK in 2016 and garage kept. Front and rear bumper repainted.
Paint correction and ceramic coating.
Interior rebuilt with new fittings.
Responsiveness was a goal of mine when building this car coming from an N/A background. So the turbo build was done to amplify the experience, not to take away from it. The chassis has the work to match, handling is still this cars strong point. Weighs 1050kg.
Wheelspin isn't a problem, 2nd is very manageable. Hooks 3rd every time and pulls into corners under full throttle. Stays very balanced. Seam welded chassis is rigid and agile. Car is currently running 400hp with this setup and i wouldn't change a thing. However, it is 500hp capable, just turn up the boost.
B18CR from 97 Integra Type R DC2, this is the exact same engine as the B16B just a 1.8. Same hand ported and polished cylinder head, balanced crankshaft etc.
Matching 5 speed S80LSD Gearbox with Fluidampr Crankshaft Pulley.
Turbo fully kicks in the same time as vtec at 4800rpm. Very loud and strong VTEC engagement. Lauch control 5500rpm, rev limit 8500prm, could be raised slightly this is just safe. With just upgraded valves 9500rpm is okay.
All new belts and fluids; power steering, brakes, engine and gearbox oil, coolant. OEM Distributer rebuild, leads and spark plugs.
