I've owned this fantastic Golf Plus for the past 11 years, and it has been an incredibly reliable family car that has never let us down. I originally bought it as a company car, so it has effectively had single-handed use its entire life you'll see two owners on paper (the company and then me). I genuinely planned to keep it for another five years; this is a reluctant sale due to the arrival of a another new company car. It has been exceptionally well maintained, serviced every year (often twice yearly), with a full service and repair history available including all receipts. The timing belt and fuel pump have been replaced three times as preventative maintenance, most recently in 2023 (less than 15,000 miles ago). In addition to routine full servicing, the gearbox oil and shock absorbers were replaced last December. It has high mileage, but these are almost entirely motorway miles (M6, M61 and M8), meaning smooth, long-distance driving rather than stop-start town wear. A full tank (costs ~75) comfortably delivers around 700-750 miles, making it very economical. It also benefits from very cheap road tax and insurance. The car is in pristine condition overall, aside from normal age- and mileage-related wear. Being the Golf Plus version, it's very spacious with excellent legroom, higher seating for comfort and visibility, and rear seats that fold completely flat practically transforming it into a mini-van when needed. A truly dependable, practical and economical family car that, if maintained as I have done, will easily serve you well for another five years or more. It has been part of our family for over a decade, so there may well be a few wet eyes when you drive it away.
