Description

Porsche Cayman 987.1 S | Engine Rebuild | Borescope | Remapped | Milltek Exhaust | Lowered | Specialist History A superb example of the Porsche Cayman 987.1 S that has clearly been cherished, properly maintained, and thoughtfully upgraded. This is a hugely rewarding driver's car with excellent balance, strong performance, and an engaging sound, enhanced further by a professional engine remap and quality upgrades. It works perfectly as both an exciting weekend car and a genuinely usable daily. The car benefits from an outstanding maintenance record with extensive work carried out by respected Porsche specialists including Rindt, Philip Raby, Copse Automotive, Cotswold Porsche Specialists, 911 SBD Porsche Specialists, Diablo Engineering, RPM Technik, and RSR. Importantly for anyone researching early Cayman models, the engine was borescoped by RPM Technik in May 2015, followed by a full engine rebuild at 71k miles in October 2015 by Ronax in Germany via 911 SBD Porsche Specialists. This provides excellent reassurance on long term engine condition and reliability and makes this a particularly strong example. Key maintenance and upgrades include: January 2026 new spark plugs and coil packs September 2025 service and MOT including brake fluid change September 2025 front bumper and rear quarter professionally repainted plus full machine polish of the rest of the car September 2025 new battery and headlights professionally polished October 2022 new front lower suspension arms June 2021 new brake discs and pads November 2018 clutch replacement with lightweight flywheel installed, Milltek exhaust system fitted, and suspension lowered GT3 short gear shifter installed giving a more precise and sporty shift feel. There is currently a small amount of play in the shifter which I am having checked March 2016 7mm wheel spacers fitted The Milltek exhaust gives the car a fantastic tone without being intrusive, while the lightweight flywheel and GT3 shifter make the car feel sharper and more engaging. The remap further improves response and performance, making this Cayman feel every bit as lively as it should. The bodywork presents very well following recent paintwork refresh and machine polish. The interior is in good condition overall with some normal wear consistent with age and use, all clearly shown in the photos for full transparency. This has been a genuinely loved and well looked after car, only for sale due to leaving the country.
