I have owned this car for nearly 12 years now, a very reluctant sale. This was going to be a keeper, a modern classic with its timeless XJ sleek retro looks, but also at the same time it has a lightweight aluminium body and frame, and being diesel, surprisingly economical to run. But with ULEZ, new street parking fees, I don't use it enough, and I need the space, so the car has to go. Anyway, this is a lovely low-mileage, Premium Sport example, in my favourite colour combination with the Gun grey body and the light grey leather and aluminium dash interior, which gives it a nice and airy feel to the inside. In my opinion, the years between 2005-07 were when this XJ had its best and cleanest body version. The earlier versions had unnecessary door bumpers, and the 2008-09 version had the old Vanden Plus treatment, so a larger front grill, huge bumpers front and rear and fake side fins. Here are some of the extras this car has: 20" factory Callisto wheels (refurbished last year). The factory upgraded Alpine sound system (really great sound) with a 6 CD player in the boot and with separate controls in the middle armrest of the rear seats. The retro tech continues with a DVD player in the glove box and screens in the rear headrests, who needs an iPad! I think it also has a TV receiver (never used it). Sat Nav, an electric rear window sun screen. A rear parking camera with parking sensors front and rear. Cruise control, heated front windscreen, heated front seats. And a new battery. It's been well cared for and serviced every year, MOT August 2006. It's not perfect on the outside; it has a couple of tiny marks which you have to look hard to see.
