I've owned this vehicle since 2009. It's been a fantastic and reliable car and mechanically it's still in great shape. 10years main dealer services, rest done by local VW specialist. Always driven with care. New MOT. Tyres and brakes replaced recently. Engine and gearbox mechanically sound. The car drives exactly as it should - strong, responsive, and solid through the gears. It's been well maintained over the years and has never let me down. Honest points: * Headlining has come away from the roof. It detached mid-journey and I had to remove part of it. Apparently a common issue with this model. The rear door panels fabric is also coming away. * Passenger-side window channel likely has some rust, as it makes an unusual noise. * Usual age-related marks and scratches. Aside from these issues, it's still a lovely car and a great opportunity for someone who wants a solid GTI at an affordable price. Comes with a Thule roof rack. Serious enquiries welcome.
