Description

A fine example of an original TD5 Defender 110, County Station Wagon, Air Con. 9 Seater. The vehicle has not been modified and has an extremely comprehensive full service history whilst also being low in no. of owners. I have owned the vehicle the last 5 years; when I bought it, I could hear a slight whirring noise in 5th gear so straight away decided to replace the gear box for a reconditioned R380 from Winchester Gears and an LOF Performance Clutch, all work was carried out by Chris at CSK automotive in Buntingford a Land Rover Specialist. At this time I also had the chassis go through an extensive Dinitrol rust protection coating. The vehicle has been absolutely spot on and never let me down in my ownership, it has always started first time even in sub zero temps when other cars have been less willing. The vehicle on average has only done around 3,000miles a year in my ownership and all the servicing has been completed as advised. Service Book has all stamps and there is a huge folder of invoices and any work previously carried out. (Pre 2020 Paper Records) Inc, notorious wiring loom harness replacement, a rear X member replacement and other miscellaneous work all carried out when needed. The Paintwork for the majority has aged well over its 23 year tenure but there is lacquer peeling on the Nearside wing and roof that can be seen in the pictures as well as some paint flaking on the rear quarter door panel. Doors are in relatively good condition but show signs of a little rust at the sills. Rear door is perfect with additional Optimil door hinges and a new rear wheel carrier bracket. Interior is again I believe to a high quality despite its age, with heavy duty matting throughout. It's a well loved classic that has been regularly washed and looked after. My opinion is that due to the extensive FSH, and quality condition throughout whilst being completely kept as is from factory the price reflects all the above. I am in no rush to sell but feel as if the time has come to move on to something different with a rapidly growing family. I will happily take prospective buyer out for a drive but no test drives. No warranty incurred. Thanks Lyndon
