Selling my RARE Urban Fox 1.4, fantastic car, had it since Feb 24, been to wales/shrewsbury/cambridge; enabled my son to pass his driving test in first attempt! Mechanically sound. Advisory free MOT until 19/2/27. Relatively low mileage at 85000. Recent works (All done in 2025 ) include rear and front offside coil spring replacements, lamda sensor replacement, NEW coil packs. NEW Battery late 2024. Full service history going back to 2009 with initial 6 services with VW Dealership and the rest through various VW affiliated dealers, last service Aug 2024: in my ownership, my son has basically driven probably 1000 miles since Feb 2024. RARE Feature: HAS a detacheable tow bar with electrics and a trailor reg plate. I have not tested this but the second owner of the car used to tow a boat!! Spare Tyre present and unused. Detached tower bar bit also present in tyre well as is two new Bosch Windscreen wipers 3 keys: of which one is faulty Less than good bits: Remote central locking does not work. Cannot get any VW dealership to reprogramme the key, so have given up. Central locking works perfectly with the key Odometer display is gone/faulty: so cannot read mileage. Known issues with VW group from this era Indicator beeps cannot be heard but the indicator lights work perfectly on dash. EPC light on: again a very well known issue with VW Fox, lamda sensor has been changed and a thorough dealer inspection 2 weeks ago has NOT found any mechanical issue. The diagnosis is a faulty throttle position sensor that this car has had intermittently since 2015 looking at all service records going back to 2012! Driver wheel arch dent: used to be a child minder's car in London (3rd owner) and had dented it. Scuffs on bumbers and some scratches as seen on the pictures. Nothing significant. Will make a fantastic local runabout and for long journeys: the person I bought it off lived in Wales and his son who owned the car drove every other week from London to Wales for 3+ years Ideal FIRST Car or Car to learn driving. Not too much to tax either.
