Description
Selling my 2013 Chrysler Ypsilon. It's a reliable, quirky 5-door hatchback that shares the same chassis and 1.2L engine as the Fiat 500 meaning parts are cheap and insurance is very low.
The Best Bits:
I have prioritised mechanical reliability, with all the "big" jobs recently completed:
- Brand New Exhaust: Fitted February 2026.
Cambelt & Water Pump: Replaced February 2024 (peace of mind for years to come).
- MOT: MOT until April 2026.
- Runs Well: Mechanically sound, starts first time, and drives exactly as it should.
- History: Partial service history with documentation for most maintenance undertaken in the past few years. I do have logbook and old service book.
I've priced the car to reflect its cosmetic and electrical issues:
- Electrical: The radio is not currently working. This is linked to the Blue & Me system, which needs re-configuring (common Fiat/Chrysler issue). I've been quoted 200 for a professional fix.
-Lighting: A few bulbs need replacing before the next MOT: dipped beams, one main beam, and the reversing light. (All indicators and fog lights are working perfectly).
- Dashboard: Because of the Blue & Me fault, the mileage display currently flashes. This is a known software communication error, not a mechanical fault.
- Bodywork: The car has a few scuffs and small dents consistent with its age. There are also a few small spots of surface rust beginning to show in typical areas.
Condition: Sold as seen.
Summary:
If you want a car that is mechanically solid with the expensive maintenance already done, and you aren't bothered by q few dinks and scraps on the bodywork or a quick fix on the radio, this is a bargain. Great for a new driver or as a cheap city runaround.
