Meet 'Stoic', our frankly heroic XC90. (No offers, please read the advert before calling, and no more trade calls! Phew!) He has just been MOT'd, had a major mechanical service, 4 new high quality all season tyres and an aircon service and gas in the last 6 weeks. He has a fantastic service history as shown in the pic, all backed up by stamps and paperwork. Plus we just did all our annual servicing etc. He drives fantastically, but he does have a few bumps and scrapes - as shown in the pictures. They have been treated immediately and there is no rust. Inside there are more signs of a life well lived, with the door cards having suffered a bit. The seats are in fantastic condition as seen, and all 7 are comfy. There are a few small marks here and there, but the only wear is on the drivers bolster as shown. The window washers, wipers and headlight washers are so efficient, and mildly comical, we love them. The silver trim at the bottom of the drivers window has started to come away, so we taped it back as shown, and its been fine. Stoic has cruise control, cornering headlights and very clever multispeed selectable wipers. The headlights are epic, and make the country roads extremely clear at night. All the music controls are on the steering wheel. There is loads of storage and a frankly obscene carrying capacity. With just the driver or a full compliment and luggage, the engine is incredibly strong and pulls fantastically. He has a Volvo fitted tow bar and electrics from new, but we never used it. I assume he would be a superb tow car with all that power and torque. The gearbox is wonderfully smooth, and changes very nicely. I particularly enjoy the fabulous music system and playing from the phone through the auxiliary cable. There are two keys, although the button signal is weak and you have to be close for it to work. We have never had any issues with the keys themselves. There is a spare wheel slung underneath the boot. The split tailgate is wonderful. Stoic is a brilliant, tough, spacious and musically wonderful car. He is scruffy however, so please don't expect perfection! There are scrapes and scruffy parts.
