Description

Alas, it is time to say goodbye to the family wagon. She's become superfluous to need, and too large to park at work, according to my wife, so a smaller car is incoming. We tried to give her to the kids, but apparently, she has 'no riz'. I've owned YG63 VMM since new and she's been fantastic since day one. From pan-European road trips to school runs, to dog parks and dump runs, she really does it all. That massive boot is not to be laughed at, and with the rear seats down you can fit an Ikea wardrobe or two (we did!). She's got all the mod cons of a 2013 car, including heated front windscreen (a must in the winter), heated and electric adjusted front seats, heated mirrors, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth and sat nav (although Google Maps is better these days). The 2.0 diesel engine (tax is 112.88) pulls strongly and with 170bhp is great for overtaking. Combined with the DSG box (which changes gear effortlessly) you can get an easy 50-55mpg on the motorway. The interior is in surprisingly good condition considering how much stuff and how many people she's hauled over the years. Mechanically she's been very well cared for, I have a full-service history, with every receipt from 2014 on (I got her on the 1st October 2013 - the handover receipt is in the with the service books). She's had a service every year and I've had some major work done including cambelts, water pumps, radiator replacement, and more - all documented. The exterior is, well, not great. She's got dents, dings, scratches and more, but each one is a story! Don't buy this car if you're planning on entering her in any sort of looks based competition. Check out the pictures for all the details. In preparation for sale, she's had 2 new front tyres, new front discs and pads and new rear suspension, all done in the last few weeks. If you need a family hauler, a dog car, run a package delivery business or just want something to munch motorway miles in, then this could very well be the car for you. Oh, and she even comes with a spare tyre. Randomly.
