Description

This stunning silver 2-door beauty has a modest 49k on the clock and boasts a 1.1-liter inline-four petrol engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Manufactured in Belgium, this Mini has been lovingly restored and features a 1986 A+ engine, providing enhanced performance while maintaining its classic charm. This Mini has been meticulously preserved, having been dry stored for 20 years, and now presents in exceptional condition. It comes with new wheels, new spring suspension and an electronic ignition, making it a joy to drive. The addition of a Stage 1 kit further enhances its performance, ensuring it delivers an exhilarating driving experience. As a tax and MOT-exempt vehicle, it offers hassle-free ownership, and its service history from 2017 provides peace of mind regarding its maintenance and care. The aesthetic upgrades on this Mini are equally impressive. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels that complement its sleek silver exterior. Inside, you'll find new carpeting, a sports steering wheel, a new gear knob, and a new shelf dashboard, all adding to the car's sporty and stylish appeal. New windscreen wipers ensure clear visibility, and while there are some minor spots, they do not detract from the overall beauty and integrity of this classic vehicle. This 1979 Austin Mini 1100 Special is a remarkable find for any classic car enthusiast. Its blend of historical significance, thoughtful upgrades, and well-documented service history make it a standout choice. Don't miss the opportunity to own this beautifully restored piece of automotive history, a testament to the enduring legacy of the Mini.Originally registered as an Austin Mini 1100 special on 03/01/1979 this model was assembled by British Layland UK LTD in Sneff Belgium as a 20th Anniversary special model. It then went on to spend its first 16 years in Belgium and was imported into Spain on 05/01/95. Its first major restoration took place around 1996 to 2000, and this would have been the time it was made to look like a Mini Cooper, however the restoration was never 100% completed and the Mini was stored in a dry garage. On 22/07/2015 a classic Mini specialist purchased the Mini intending to complete the restoration however it was just stored again and on 14/11/2016 it was purchased by my uncle, who lives in Spain. He restored the mini (a diary will be provided), and it was a 'labour of love' which was fully completed on 26/02/2018. I bought the car in Sept 2019 and imported it to the UK.
