Description
We have owned this BMW 1 Series 120d sport for nearly 10 years as a family car.
The good bits:
- All electric windows work flawlessly
- I have changed all 4 shock absorbers recently for new
- The Aircon works very well
- It starts on the button and has done forever
- I have had the windscreen washers fixed recently which nice
- It has run flats for getting you out of trouble if you puncture
- I have a list of various repairs and fixes
- I've renewed discs and pads all round recently
- It goes pretty quick when you want to 163 ps
The less good bits:
- Common radio screen display has faded out
- Age related marks and couple of dents
- The clutch has a tiny judder on release which it has had for the last 10 years. Common problem too on this model and year
-The offside rear door holder needs replacing
- Damaged front dash vent
- I've had issues with the passenger seat pad sensor causing airbag light. You can buy an override relay which removes the light. I have one fitted but it will need rebooting to pass MOT
- There is a very small oil leak on engine but not worth investigating at this point
I think that covers it. I guess rear wheel drive 6 speed manual small cars are a dying bread.
