Selling my Golf GTE. It's been a genuinely great car to own and live with. It has fresh MOT, brand new tyres all round, and includes the UK 3-pin charging cable. I think the car looks great, tried to show it off as much as I could in the pictures, the blue trim details are subtle, unlike some other plug-ins. For short trips and commuting you can often drive fully electric, which has kept fuel costs down for me. It has the classic hybrid driving mode, and a one-pedal driving option. The GTE mode (one button to engage) tightens up the steering and gives it a nice kick if you're wanting to get off a roundabout or just have a bit more driving fun. A few things I've really appreciated: - Adaptive cruise control which locks on to the car in front to match their speed. - Front and rear parking sensors. - Huge screen which works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (the default setup is wired only, but using a cheap USB dongle it can be wireless, which is how I've used it). - The auto gearbox (DSG) is really smooth even at low speeds. The boot space leaves a little to be desired (see pictures) as it's smaller than the standard Golf from this era - because the battery is under the boot. It has not been an issue for me through, and if you're looking at this car it's likely you're not trying to stack loads into the back. Rear seats are perfectly usable, I've had four adults in comfortably. Regarding MOT: I've got it booked in on 11/03/26 - I'll sort anything that comes up so you have a clear 12 months. Mechanically solid, drives really nicely, and feels well put together. Overall, it's just been a very easy car to own. Sad to see it go, but I need something bigger!
