Reluctantly selling this lovely 640, which was my father's car from brand new, due to my partner being pregnant and needing something with four doors. It's booked in for an MOT, oil change and brake fluid change on 18 March 2026 with an independent authorized BMW specialist. It's got a full service history, having always been serviced in line with recommendations by either main dealer or authorised independent specialists. I've had the oil and filters changed every year during the MOT, to adopt best practice. It's in generally immaculate condition, although there are two very small dents in the driver door (the paint is unbroken), and there is a slight blue tinge on the leather seat in the rear offside passenger from where there was a small leak from a bottle of windscreen fluid (which should come out with a bit of leather cleaner). The car has basically all the extras, including the H&K surround system, active cruise control (which now I'll never be able to live without), night vision, adaptive headlights, etc. I also get 41MPG in real world conditions, and, combined with the relatively low road tax, this is actually now a cheap car to run (although for the first five years it had higher road tax which has now thankfully passed!). This was the last year they made the 6 series, and in my view it is the best of that year of all BMWs. It had a list price of over 100k new, so it represents a real bargain and a much nicer alternative to the Bentley GT. I've gone slightly under the recommended price to account for the very minor blemishes listed above, and this car represents a very well looked after bargain at the price offered.
