I purchased this Civic as a stop gap in 2019. Nearly 7 years & about 42,000 miles later I still own it! This a testament to the benefits of owning a vehicle with great reliability & older technology that you can still repair at very reasonable cost. I have worked in the Retail Motor Industry pretty much my entire career & having worked for Mercedes Benz & BMW Dealership's in the past & as a Sales Executive, had use of new state of the art cars for many years, whilst having a fabulous new car to drive is lovely, it no longer holds any great allure for me, I've already 'got the teeshirt' & my passion in recent years has been Motorcycling & travelling in a Camper van. I am only selling because I have decided to treat myself to a slightly newer vehicle that will be suitable to tow my Motorcycle on a trailer, if I want to go to the best motorcycling roads in Europe. And yes it's another Honda! A CR-V. The Civic has been thoroughly maintained with servicing & repairs during it's 27 years. I haven't ticked the 'Full Service History' box for the advertisement purely because, without being Sherlock Holmes, I can't be certain it has'nt been late or missed one somewhere in it's life, however, I have a huge file of documentation spanning mine & the previous ownership. This includes 65 invoices for Servicing, Repairs & Parts. 26 MOT Certificates which includes a new Certificate dated 11/03/26 & 16 Tax Reminder/Payment receipts! The Service Book comes with the vehicle & along with the document file, is solid evidence of it's provenance. The book comes with the original book pack, containing all the original documents. The Business cards for the Salesman & Service Manager from John Cooper the original supplying Dealer are even in the pack! The reliability of Honda & particularly of this era is legendary & it has been a stalwart friend. It also has a pretty good specification for it's age. Overall it wouldn't win a concours competition but I reckon it looks pretty good for a 27 year old car. If you are looking for good, reliable & simple transport that is straight forward & cost effective to run, with what must be a truly unique provenance, then this Civic will be a great solution!
