1990 Mercedes 300SE (W126) 3.0 straight-six (M103) Automatic 135,000 miles UK car MOT until April 2026 I bought this as a recommissioning project last year and have brought it back into good running condition. It now starts, drives and stops well and has been used locally without issue. My plan was to fully restore but with a new baby arriving I'm not going to have any time to see this through. The previous owner was a 80 year old paediatrician who owned the car for 34 years (since 1992). Unfortunately he was unable to drive it much in recent years and so it largely sat in a car park near Holland Park deteriorating. It's got a strong service history up to 2014 at 125,000 miles (see other pictures for details). The odometer is now showing 135,986, so it's done less than 10,000 miles in the last 10 years. So whilst it now runs, it does require structural welding to be properly sorted long-term, and I've priced it accordingly. Mechanical Condition * Engine starts, runs well and pulls strongly * I replaced and refreshed the fuel pump assembly with new hoses, new Bosch pump and new filter * Temperature stable (80-90C) * Brakes smooth * Gearbox shifts properly * All fuses replaced with brass torpedo fuses, now the sunroof and all electric windows work * Mirror adjustments work * Wiper linkage was seized so I rebuilt, greased and reinstalled * Cleaned and unblocked the various water drains, removed all the years of detritus and rotted leaves under the scuttle and battery tray (not rusted through here like a lot of w126s) * Disconnected the old pioneer head unit as it was causing a parasitic battery drain. The car will need a new battery in the near future All said, it drives nicely and feels like a proper Mercedes cruiser. Body / Structure The car has structural rust, including rear subframe mounting areas and other underside corrosion typical of a W126 of this age. I've had a comprehensive welding quote of approx 2.5k to properly sort. I'm not looking to take this on, hence sale. Front wings are rusty and paintwork is tired in places. Interior is complete and presentable.
