Description

Galvanic Gold Certified 98% battery health (March 2025) Atelier Interior 427 style alloys Rear parking sensors Std cruise control Apple CarPlay (wireless) Larger 8 inch iDrive display Storage pack When I was looking for the perfect i3, I convinced myself that I needed leather interior, sunroof, aux cabin heating etc but the more I searched, the more I realised that the most important thing was getting a car in the colour I want and with the best battery health I could find. Given that, by modern standards, the range on these cars isn't great, maximising what range is available became crucial to making the car as practical as possible. With this example, I bought it with 9550 miles on the clock and a certified battery health of 98% from a BMW main dealer in March 2025. I went for the standard car, rather than the 'S' as the performance was more than enough and the standard car has better range. It's rare to see 427 style wheels on such a late year as this (2021) but I always preferred these wheels to the diamond cut ones. Being standard alloys they are easier to maintain (no kerbing on these ones anyway) compared to diamond cut. They are also 'matched' (all 4 tyres are the same size). This makes tyre management easier and cheaper as well as allowing winter tyres to be fitted if desired. (All the diamond cut alloys have a staggered setup with wider tyres on the back). These 427 alloys are also allegedly lighter and more aerodynamic. There are a couple of tiny stone chips and a touched up scrape in the rear bumper in the otherwise immaculate galvanic gold paintwork. The interior is spotless. The car came with one additional cup holder and I added an extra one. The 'extended storage pack' consists of a series of elastic straps to retain items. The car has the 'supaguard' protection applied by BMW back in March (inside and out) at time of purchase. I've been charging using a 16A 'granny' cable hooked up to a 'Commando' socket in the garage. I typically run this at 8 - 10 amps to trickle charge overnight. I always keep the battery sitting around 80% charge when not in use and only charge up to 100% the night before a longer trip. The car will come with both type 2 and 'granny' cables. As much as this car is costing me very little to run, I can't justify keeping it when I am averaging only 2000 miles a year. The boot is also quite small at only 260 litres - not ideal with a growing toddler! Car will come with a fresh MOT and full size spare wheel.
