Description
2 owners from new, I am the 2nd. Previous owner was a colleague who leased the vehicle. BMW stamped service booklet 'outset to 128,000miles' during that lease. I bought the car on 02/07/2015. Car tax is 35 pounds per year. From ownership I have had an oil/ oil filter change at every MOT by my local trusted garage. Air, fuel and pollen filters changed at various stages. Receipts, servicing booklets, MOT's, 2 keys. Tyres are non run flats as I found these to be a little harsh on the road. This car has never failed to start and continues to drive very well. No issues with the gearbox or clutch. Some age related bodywork marks as expected. Very clean inside (non smokers). Receipts for past work include: Replacement Battery, Brakes and Brake discs, tyres, door lock mechanisms, water pump, brake boost pressure sensor. A minor oil leak was noted as an advisory on a previous MOT inspection, located to the oil filter housing and exchanger, these were replaced with genuine BMW parts by my local garage. The car has heated seats and a cd/radio player (no sat nav). Car also has front/rear fog lights and cruise control. It has a huge capacity for long/large items when the rear seats are down. A DPF 'unblock' service was carried out by a professional tuning centre, with stage 1 mapping. An intermittent EGR fault has been permanently remedied, so no DFF/ EGR issues. This car is an 'M-Sport' model and is also a slightly lowered version from manufacture and as such has exceptional drive characteristics around corners and bends. Oil and water consumption is minimal, imo, and is probably as expected for the mileage and year. Niggles: With the cars profile, care needs to be taken to the front bumper when parking up near any raised kerbs in case the bumper 'catches', as such the bumper has had a few minor repairs and 'touch ups' (does not affect driving, safety or MOT) and looks fine. Secondly, the notorius BMW 'bulb out' warning symbol pops up on the dash at start up (goes quiet until the next start up). My local garage has given up trying to find/remedy this as all bulbs appear to be working (does not affect driving, safety or MOT). Note: Recent MOT (no advisories) expires December 2026. Age related marks here and there, but people comment how good the bodywork looks. Due to the age/mileage, no guarantee issued/car sold as seen. Selling now as retirement enables purchase of a newer car. Mileage will increase slightly until car purchased to hep with parts moving/functioning.
