Description
Selling my all-time favourite Lexus IS due to relocation.
The car comes with a full Lexus service history and remains under warranty until the end of this month. The hybrid driving system is covered by Lexus UK's 15-year, unlimited-mileage warranty policy.
I have always taken excellent care of the vehicle. The paintwork is entirely original and has been protected with ceramic coating since purchase. As it is a silver car with ceramic coating, there are only a few very minor marks that are barely noticeable.
There is slight wear on the driver's side armrest leather and one small chip on the front windscreen, which does not affect driving. Otherwise, the car is in immaculate condition and still drives better than most new cars, thanks to the hybrid system. It is exceptionally comfortable and a pleasure to drive.
It is genuinely sad to sell this car due to job relocation, as it could easily last another ten years. As many Lexus IS models have demonstrated, reaching ten years and 100,000 miles is only the beginning for this vehicle, and you can expect minimal maintenance issues, particularly with the major mechanical components.
The tyres are nearly new. As this is a rear-wheel-drive car designed with sporting performance in mind, the rear tyres are wider than the front. Brand-new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres were fitted to the rear this week. The front tyres are Yokohama, fitted and aligned by Lexus last year, and still have plenty of tread remaining.
I hope to find a new owner who will take equally good care of it. I would recommend continuing to service it through Lexus, as this renews the driving unit warranty for a further five years (although issues are unlikely). Lexus service centres also provide excellent workmanship and customer service.
The asking price is only slightly above the highest quote I have received from dealer bids. Reasonable offers from private buyers are welcome; otherwise, I will accept the highest offer from a major dealer.
