Description
I'm reluctantly selling my Caravelle which I've had since 2018. I'm only the second owner, the previous owner bought it from the VW garage who had used it as their demonstration vehicle. It has an excellent service history (last service 18/02/26) with all the receipts for work done, eg new exhaust manifold, clutch/flywheel, intercooler, front subframe.. etc.. I've spent over 7000 on service and maintenance during my ownership, having an annual full service (last one was 18/02/26) and any necessary work completed at the same VW specialist garage every year. It has a towbar, and there are Yakima Whispbar roof bars fitted which I will leave on, but the roof box will be removed. There is also a set of stick on internal thermal blinds for the windows.
Negative bits - It is 20 years old, so naturally it's starting to look a bit tired in places, there are two small rust patches on the nsr wheel arch, a small dent on the tailgate, and various light scratches, I've tried to capture them on the photographs. The passenger door window I think has moved off it's mechanism inside the door, so needs a little hand to fully close (the motor etc works fine, it just opens itself again as it nears the top). Inside is still pretty good, seats all work as they should, the table still works, but unfortunately the cup holders have broken. The drivers seat is a little worn from use on the side, and some of the fabric trim is starting to look a bit tatty, but overall fairly good. The cd player is fine and has Bluetooth hands free capability that works well. I have two keys (possibly three if I can find the surf key..). The reason I'm selling is because my children are getting older and it's not very often that all six of us go out together anymore, meaning I don't need such a big vehicle day to day, so I've just bought a 7 seat car instead, hopefully I'm not making a mistake... I've had a lot of cars over the last 30 years and only been sad to see four of them go, my Fiat X1/9, MR2 turbo, Honda Accord, and this one.
